Love Rosie Interview Series - Gretty Rose

For our readers, can you please give some insight as to who you are and what you do?

My name is Gretty Rose, I am a mummy to a gorgeous 3yr old girl Zahara and also own my own online fashion store Gretty Rose The label. I am also active on social media where I love to share everything from Fashion, Lifestyle, Family, Travel and fitness to my followers.

What is your favourite part of being a mum?


There are so many ups and downs when it comes to parenting, but the unconditional love I receive from my daughter is like nothing I would have expected. When she laughs so hard she gets hiccups, when she tells me she loves me, when she wraps her arms around me with all her might. The simple things are the most special part of being a mum.

What is the best parenting advice you’ve received?


Don’t be too hard on yourself, there is no ‘right’ way to parenting. Everyone, every child and every situation is different so what works for you may not work for someone else and that is totally fine.

Kids are always a huge motivation in life, aside from your child/children what has been your biggest motivation to achieve success?


I think the people around me play a huge part, I am lucky enough to have amazing supportive friends and a fiancé who all work hard and inspire me on the daily. Wanting to live my best life I possibly can so I am so grateful to have a strong supportive group of people around me.

There is so much information out there about business, what are some points you live by with your brand?


I am completely involved with my business and how it runs every day, so I always make sure;

1.      I am happy and it feels right and good by me. You need to love what you are doing and remain true to yourself.

2.      My staff are happy and everyone is on the same page, working towards the same goal.

3.      Customer Service. Without our customers, we wouldn’t have a business so always listening to their feedback and being as open and honest with them through social media.

What practical tips could you give to our Mums out there who are thinking of turning a passion into a plan?


Get very clear in what you want to create –You really have to be patient with your plan and ideas and make sure you don’t stress too much. To avoid this, I would strongly suggest having a good business plan so you are able to follow the steps and guide you on your way. Time management also plays a huge factor in making your plan reality this way you are able to allow time to running your own business and being a mum.

What is the most rewarding thing for you in what you do?


Seeing girls of all shapes and sizes wearing Gretty Rose The Label from all over the world. Getting tagged in their photos, receiving messages and emails saying how much they love a top or pair pf pants they ordered. There is no better feeling then having such positive feedback from our lovely customers.
